Kindergarten Student Registration

To enroll in Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, Tennessee State law requires students to be five years of age on or before August 15, 2026. Before beginning the online registration process, please ensure you have scanned or photographed all required documents and saved them to your computer or tablet, as these digital files are necessary to complete the application.

As part of the registration requirements, all students must provide two valid proofs of residency. These documents are categorized into two groups: Group A and Group B. To meet this requirement, you may submit either two proofs from Group A, or one proof from Group A and one proof from Group B. Please be aware that two proofs from Group B will not be accepted as sufficient documentation.

Group A 

  • Current Lease Agreement
  • Mortgage Statement/Deed
  • Real Estate Tax Receipt
  • 25-26 Approved Shared Residency Affidavit (counts as two)
  • Out of District Approval Letter (counts as two)
  • Military Housing Lease (counts as two)

Group B 

  • Valid TN Driver’s License
  • Current MLGW Bill (cut-off notices not accepted)
  • Current Millington Water Bill (cut-off notices not accepted)
  • Current Public Assistance/Government Benefits Letter

If your residency situation prevents you from providing these documents, please schedule an appointment with Student Services at Central Office by calling 901-873-5680.

Kindergarten students who did not attend PreK at Millington Primary must also provide: 
  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • TN Shot Record Form with Proof of Physical 


Kindergarten staggered entry week will be August 10-14, 2026. Kindergarten students will only attend school ONE day during this time frame. Millington Primary will contact you during the summer (late July) to set up your staggered enrollment day.
