2016-17 Elementary and Secondary Act
Program Summary

Title I

Funds received under the Elementary and Secondary Schools Act are allocated to all four Millington Schools to provide supplemental instructional services to students. The services include instructional facilitators, intervention teachers, paraprofessionals, online researched based interventions/ assessments, technology and instructional materials. The funds provide student tutoring services beyond the regular school day. Title I funds are also used to provide parent engagement opportunities and staff development for teachers.

 

Title II

Funds are used to ensure that all teachers in core academic subjects are highly effective. Staff development is provided for teachers and administrators. Master Teachers and Learning Coaches are funded in each school to support teaching and learning. A class size reduction teacher has been provided to improve middle school literacy. The private school Tipton Rosemark Academy will participate in teacher staff development Title II services for the 2016-2017 school year. 

Title III

Funds are used to provide instructional supplies, software and materials to support the supplemental scientifically based instruction to increase English proficiency and student academic achievement of eligible English language learners. Funds are also utilized to provide staff development for ESL teachers and parent engagement activities.
