2017-18 Every Student Succeeds Act  (ESSA)

Title I

  Funds received under the Elementary and Secondary Schools Act are allocated to all four Millington Schools to provide supplemental instructional services to students. The services include instructional facilitators, intervention teachers, paraprofessionals, online researched based interventions/ assessments, technology and instructional materials. The funds provide student tutoring services beyond the regular school day. Title I funds are also used to provide parent engagement opportunities and staff development for teachers.  

Title II

  Funds are used to ensure that all teachers in core academic subjects are highly effective. Staff development is provided for school level teachers and administrators. Master Teachers and Learning Coaches are funded in each school to support teaching and learning. The private school Tipton Rosemark Academy will participate in teacher staff development Title II services for the 2017-2018 school year.

Title III

  Funds are used to provide supplemental instructional supplies, software and materials to support the supplemental scientifically based instruction to increase English proficiency and student academic achievement of eligible English learners. Funds are also utilized to provide staff development for EL teachers and parent engagement activities.  

Title IV

        Funds are used to support the goal for “Well-Rounded Educational Opportunities” by providing staff development for music and art teachers. Supplies are also provided for after school art opportunities for students and software for expanding high school music production and recording opportunities. The goal of “Safe and Healthy Students” will be supported with purchases of materials and supplies to offer expanded CPR training for students and staff development for physical education teachers. The “Effective Use of Technology” goal will be met with three days of Apple technology staff development for teachers implementing the one to one student computer initiative. The private school Tipton Rosemark Academy will also be participating in this project.
